What don't students like?

  • "Equivalent" answers being marked wrong  More
    case sensitivity (I insist on this for element symbols)
    numerical answers to different numbers of dp or sf than required (no longer a major issue) 

  • Stepwise approach? More
    30/3600 (< 1%) comments were negative about the stepwise approach

  • Too easy? More
    98/3600 comments said it was too easy
    46/3600 wanted harder questions (often as part of a compliment)
    BUT
    150/3600 comments said it was too hard
