Variation of gas solubility with gas pressure

Henry's Law
The graph at the right shows that, for a particular gas,
the mass of dissolved gas in water is directly proportional to the pressure above the gas.

If the pressure is doubled, the mass dissolved doubles.
If the pressure above the gas is halved, the mass of gas dissolved is halved.

The cartoons show that for any solution of gas.the number of gas particles

escaping from the solution equals the number of gas particles dissolving.
dissolved is higher at higher pressure.
